Today we had our first science lesson. We are beginning our science units with "I am a Scientist". Second graders are learning about the scientific method, discussing what scientists to and how scientists learn. Today we posed the question: Where does a frog go on a lily pad to stay dry? The second graders recorded their predictions in their science notebooks. Then we created a model of a frog in a pond. Students worked in teams to explore the best place for a frog to stay dry and then recorded their findings in their notebooks.
