Today was silly sock day! Students also wrote letters to their 3rd grade teachers while chewing gum!
Today we began out last ten days of second grade countdown! Each day we will pop a balloon to reveal a special activity and a fun dress up day for the following day! Our first balloon introduced the countdown and let us know that it would be School Spirit Day (blue/gold).
This week:
Monday: Last day of Junior Achievement; learning about how money travels through the system Tuesday: Empower Me Assembly (not pictured), recording plant observations, learning a new math game Wednesday: NWEA testing (not pictured), recording more plant observations, discussing plants and what happens if you take away basic needs, measuring our heights in inches(not pictured), reading Little Blue and Little Yellow and using multiple comprehension strategies(not pictured) Thursday: Playing math games, learning about the relationship between meters and centimeters, reading about a plant life cycle, reading, discussing and writing poetry (not pictured) Also pictured: our mini quilts we made last week for math when learning about symmetry and the insects the second graders made in art class where they were also learning about symmetry! |
