These photos were taking on the day of our voting lesson. Student had the made up scenario of our school receiving $500. Their job was to decide how the money was to be spent. The choices they were give were: a butterfly garden, artwork, and recycling. The second graders had to come up with both pros and cons for each one. After discussing the pros and cons, second graders were given a vote. And the winner was...A BUTTERFLY GARDEN! These photos are from our Junior Achievement lesson on money. Students played a money matching game. After the money game, students learned about how money travels from place to place. They did this through song and acting it out. We had a wonderful experience with Junior Achievement! I am so grateful for community volunteers.
